Satellite Phone System
Every cell phone is a satellite phone with a hosted/cloud PBX distributing calls
This service restores the following to your organization:
Everyone within the reach of your Wi-Fi network with a cell phone, now has a satellite phone and is part of the incoming call distribution from your main telephone number(s) routed through a Cloud PBX. Delivering to your organization all the flexibility of your existing but non-functioning phone system.
Incoming calls to an organization are managed in the cloud and delivered to cell phones/satellite phones, working business phones or other locations. Incoming calls are answered in the cloud where callers may choose from a menu of options. Calls are then forwarded on to an individual, group, alternate location or any number of different options, emulating the on-site telephone switch.
How Our Satellite Phone System Works
Incoming calls are forwarded to a toll free number provided by Cell Over Satellite. Incoming calls are re-routed by using a standard telephone company feature “Remote-Call-Forwarding” (RCF). RCF should be tested semi-annually, you don't want any surprises.
Cell Over Satellite's Satellite Phone System was designed for emergency use, however, it can be used regularly. The main attraction of our cloud or hosted phone system is that it is flexible, scalable and designed to be simple and easy. Talk to one of our consultants and see a demo.
One of the most attractive features of the Satellite Phone System is that it includes a complete EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM (ENS). With ENS you can send alerts and warnings real-time to provide the necessary information to organization members, customers or the public. The ENS allows you to send thousands of texts, voice messages or emails (notifications) at one time.

Frequently asked questions
Have more questions about this service? Here are some of the most common questions we get below.
How do we get incoming calls off a failed network and over to a backup network?
It is simple but MUST be set up in advance. All telephone companies have a feature called Remote-Call-Forward. You add this feature with your primary telephone service provider. It allows you to remotely and instantly forward your main incoming calls away from the primary network. You can access your primary network through the satellite connection provided.
Can the Emergency or Mass Notification System (ENS) be used for non-emergencies?
Absolutely, it is strongly encouraged to use the ENS as frequently as possible, for almost any situation or need. There is no cost to you unless you exceed your monthly quota of minutes/texts.
Can the Mass Notification System (ENS) be used anywhere?
Yes, if you have an office in California with the Satellite Phone System, your office in Florida, without a system can use the ENS whenever necessary.
We have three offices around the country; can they share the satellite phone system?
Yes and no. They can share the cloud or hosted PBX but the satellite connectivity because it requires a physical dish at a location can not be shared.
If the cloud PBX is shared by another location there are usually no additional charges.
We have two offices that are different sizes; does the price vary?
Maybe, it depends on how many simultaneous calls you want to be able to receive/answer at any one time. You should talk to a consultant and and provide the details your circumstances.
Will the satellite phone system still work if the power fails?
Absolutely, calls are answered in the cloud and callers can hear critical information or the calls can be delivered to any working telephone number. You can also review incoming and outgoing call logs online anytime, from anywhere.
